Does your brain ever hurt when looking at skin care products and what’s inside? Because, same.
The ingredients are filled with big sciencey words that just mess with our minds and make us a little sceptical about what exactly we are putting on our hair. But today, we are here to debunk that confusion.
Here at Esther CE, we pride ourselves on using the best ingredients to make the biggest positive impact we can. We have spent decades perfecting our formulas and here’s the best bit… we don’t use confusing ingredients. You can DEFINITELY understand all of them.
We want every customer to feel 100% confident in what they are putting in their hair. This is your journey, so a full understanding of what is going on and what you are putting in your hair is crucial.
As that old proverb says, give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. If you have ownership over the process and know what you’re putting on your body, you can’t go wrong.

All we want is for you to have the confidence to flaunt your stuff and whip your hair back and forth. We use high quality and natural ingredients to make your body as healthy as it can be. The main ingredients we use are:
The smell of koyamaki oil transports you right to the Japanese Mountains. Imagine calmness, cleanliness and earthy botanicals filling your senses. Pure bliss.
Not only does it smell heavenly, it also does some pretty incredible things to your hair. It has strong antibacterial properties, which helps keep your hair as clean as a whistle. It might sound gross, but there are lots of germs and bacteria in your hair. That’s where the koyamaki oil comes in! It helps control the overproduction of certain bacteria and fungi on the scalp and hair to stop things like dandruff, redness and irritation. Like a mini traffic warden, only letting the good stuff come through.
The benefits of koyamaki oil don’t stop there! It also helps protect the hair from environmental impacts, like sun exposure, and aging (no more wiry white hairs).
We all know that sugar is no bueno for our bodies, but did you know it also isn’t good for your hair? Sounds crazy, right? But we’re 100% serious.
Usually people don’t like it due to it’s high caloric content, but science has found a direct correlation in the amount of sugar we consume and hair loss. Pretty much what happens is the sugar attaches itself to other molecules that help with hair growth. After attaching, the molecule’s structure and function changes, causing them to not work as well. This turns into a vicious cycle, causing your body to try and fix the issue on its own. But, it doesn’t work as well… sometimes we all need a helping hand. And that helping hand is Malabar Kino. It contains strong anti-glycation properties which help combat these sugars, preventing loss and breakage.
Sophora Root Extract
Sophora root extract is a hot-off-the-press buzzword at the moment. It is widely used in Chinese medicine as a herbal supplement, and soooo good for all your hair care needs. The Extract helps to start the active growth stage within the hair cycle, encouraging hair to grow and shoot for the stars (or even just your shoulders). It also helps to strengthen the weak little androgen hormones that float around within the body to be as strong as they can be. Androgens are the main guys responsible for hair growth. They help turn tiny, virtually invisible hairs into long, luscious locks. So, it is super important that they are as strong as can be.
Japonica Leaf Extract
Camellia japonica is a japanese symbol of eternal beauty… and that is exactly what it is doing to your hair. The list of goodness that the extract does to hair is endless, including softening, restoring the natural sheen, retaining moisture and preventing dandruff.
This is due to the fatty acids found within the extract being mostly omega 9. Surely you’ve heard of omega 3 and 6, which are both amazing for your health, and omega 9 is no exception. Omega 9 is created when the body has omega 3 and 6 already. It is present in olives, avocados and nuts, so definitely worth upping these in your diets. Why, you ask?
Omega 9 makes your hair grow faster and has amazing hydration power. This means your hair can retain moisture, to make it look so silky smooth.
Japonica leaf extract is also absorbed very quickly and goes deep into your skin. This encourages the cells to grow and also gives support to the skin on your head. We all need that extra boost sometimes.
Ginseng Root Extract
Ginseng is a Chinese herbal tea staple which nourishes the soul and also nourishes your hair. It is like the motherboard for hair care, with so many superpowers to make your hair incredibly lush.
It helps prevent hair loss by increasing the skin cells on the scalp, which strengthens the strands, encourages new growth, whilst also reducing hair thinning and breakage. Much like koyamaki oil, ginseng also helps keep your head nice and clean. It is high in Saponin, an antibacterial compound, which destroys dandruff and helps keep it away. Finally, it is packed with nourishing capabilities, which help to nurture the whole strand, from the root to the end of the hair.
